As a fulltime freelance writer, i always wondered whether i really needed to do article writing. But after long years of article writing for my clients’ article marketing plans, it struck me as a better idea to write articles and market them myself.
I created a website where I posted my resume, my portfolio and some of my writings. I started marketing myself through my writings which I used to increase the number of visitors to my website. Also since I had posted a few of my writings on the web, I know that I have done a good job of marketing myself.
This turned out to be a real good decision of mine, for I thought of many ways to repurpose my work in order to spend lesser time on actual writing and get better returns on it. After all, in my type of work, time was money, and the faster I write my articles, the more I earn from them.
Since everybody is marketing their products, there is huge competition in the market. In order to face such stiff competition, you need to flood the market with your product. This is the only way you can compete with the others. If there is a shortage of your product, then the customer is going to look elsewhere.
There is no way of getting public attention for your articles without writing at least a 100 articles. You can earn in a big way, but, of course, quality of your work is one major decisive factor.
But if you use some content mill or try to write some PLR content, it will bring you and your company a bad reputation instead of getting you anywhere.
In case if you are not affluent writer by yourself, you can ask or hire a copywriter to put into writing your ideas and thoughts. He should be a person who understands your thoughts and with whom you can share your knowledge. Even if he happens to be a good writer, you must always check the articles for spelling mistakes, grammar and plagiarism.
