My goal here isn’t to give you an in depth look at all the techniques needed to earn money online but to cover the basic areas you’ll have to acquaint yourself with in order to make progress. What did I have to learn to earn money online? An awful lot! I’m a bit technophobic so this was a big hindrance at first. The technical nature of setting things up online seemed daunting and often impossible. However it would be fair to say that when I calmed myself down, I was often able to overcome the fear and technical problem and keep moving forward. That’s the key really, keep moving forward! Sometimes if only for tiny amount of progress you’ve got to keep hammering away at it if you want to earn money online.

If you become an affiliate of a company you’ll be given affiliate links. The idea is you advertise these links using different techniques and someone will click on them and buy what the company is selling and you get your %. Easy, right? Well not exactly! Where are you going to advertise them? How much are you going to spend? Which free methods are the best? What’s all this SEO business? SEO is effectively the strategic use of a word or words called keywords repeated on a page, article or website to increase your ranking on Google etc. For example if you write, “earn money online ,”in a search engine, thousands of possibilities will come up. Obviously if your article or web page is in the first 5 you are going to get a lot of traffic and improve your sales. SEO also covers various types of tags which you can get into later.

Moving on you’ll learn how to create simple splash pages with forms, again to keep building your list. Free splash pages are easy to find these days and require minimum effort from your side. Don’t be afraid of HTML the language programs are written in, I don’t know what they mean even now, and you know what, who cares! It’s just something you have to paste into different areas. Quite frankly if a super technophobic like me can progress and improve his situation, why not you! That’s my simple message.
